At a glittering awards evening on the Gold Coast overnight, the Whangamata-based franchise won Jennian Homes’ most prestigious award – just the third time the accolade has been presented in the national organisation’s 35-year history.

To be eligible a franchise must have been a top three finalist five out of the past eight years for Franchisee of the Year.

A golden night was capped off further by being named a finalist in the Franchisee of the Year 2018 award alongside Jennian Homes Wellington, Jennian Homes Wairarapa and overall winner Jennian Homes Nelson Bays.

The black tie awards evening, held at the 5 Star QT Gold Coast Hotel and hosted by media personality Sam Wallace, was brought forward to coincide with the Commonwealth Games, with franchisees and their families given the opportunity to attend today’s opening ceremony.

This is thanks to Jennian Homes being a proud partner of the New Zealand Commonwealth Games team.

“To be recognised as one of the best in our business with such a prestigious award is both extremely humbling and surprising,” says Haley Trebilco who owns and operates the franchise alongside husband Stephen Trebilco.

“Like all Jennian Homes franchisees, we work hard to build a reputation for excellence in customer service, design and craftsmanship in every home we build. And any accolades are secondary.

“Owning a quality home is an incredibly important goal for most families, and our greatest reward is making that dream come true.”

Jennian Homes chief operating officer Aidan Jury says the award is tribute to the team of people who take enormous satisfaction out of making homeowners happy.

And the Coromandel franchise is more than deserving of this accolade.

“It is incredibly rare to to present this award with Jennian Homes having done so only twice previously in its 35-year history,” explains Mr Jury.

“To be recognised as a consistent performer is testament to the Coromandel team’s drive to raise the standard within the organisation.”

With Jennian Homes being a proud partner of the New Zealand Commonwealth Games team and #EarnTheFern campaign, Mr Jury says the opening of the Games presented the perfect opportunity for Jennian’s annual awards evening.

“The Gold Coast is buzzing with athletes who are at the top of their game. I can’t think of a better time and place to celebrate our top players as well, says Mr Jury.
