Women’s Refuge campaign ‘I Got Your Back Pack’ supporting the need to walk away

I Got Your Back Pack is a non-profit initiative established in support of Women’s Refuge and NAWIC has been a strong supporter of this fantastic initiative.

It’s sole vision is to support those in crisis as a result of domestic violence, by way of providing backpacks filled with practical and essential items to every woman and child as they enter the support system of Women’s Refuge.

Why Backpacks?

Most women and children in crisis circumstances have had to leave their homes with very little (if any) personal possessions.

I Got Your Back Pack believes that gifting a backpack filled with practical and essential items to each woman and child engaging with women’s refuge, goes a long way towards easing some of their distress and provide, especially for the children, some much needed positive and comforting distractions in these early days of upheaval and change within their lives.

We provide backpacks for Mothers, Children and Babies.  There is a high demand for the backpacks and we aim to provide 10,000 of backpacks a year to support Women’s Refuge.  Donations of the following items are greatly appreciated to assist us in meeting our target:
