Update on COVID-19 – Prepare for COVID-19 Alert Levels 1, 2 and 3

17 April 2020 1.00pm – Building Controls Update 262

Here is the latest information to help everyone in the building and construction sector prepare for COVID-19 levels 1, 2 and 3.

In line with recent government announcements, information is now available on the Building Performance website to help you understand what Alert Levels 1, 2 and 3 mean for building and construction.

Until it’s decided to move into a different Alert Level, everyone must continue to comply by only carrying out essential services, until we move out of level 4. Check out the definition at building.govt.nz.

MBIE will continue to update building.govt.nz as information about the sector changes. We encourage and your colleagues you to check this website regularly and share this information with your customers to help keep everyone up to date.

It’s important that you take the responsibility and to follow what each Alert Level means to ensure we keep each other safe and to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
